AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: COMANCHE

Comanche is a stunning 14 year old purebred Arabian gelding up for adoption from FalconRidge Equine Rescue in Valley Center (San Diego).

His registered name is Citizen Psyche and he used to be a halter show stallion. In the past, an electric cattle prod was used on Comanche to make him excitable for his halter classes, so when he arrived he did not like humans. Comanche has come a long way, realizing we are not going to hurt him.

He is very tall for an arab, standing 15.3 hands high. This boy is athletic, with big bone, sound, a flashy mover with nice conformation.
We were told he has been ridden on trail in the past but was spooky.
He will need an experienced owner/rider and more training. Comanche will excel at anything, dressage, english, or western.

FalconRidge Equine Rescue at 760-742-0285. Adoption fee $300.

Last month we had missing photo credits for our cover sponsor Classic Equine Equipment. For the small right column photos, the (top) first photo credit goes to Pegasus Builders, the second photo credit belongs to Steve Molner with MCD Construction, the third photo is Classic Equine Equipment's, and the fourth (bottom) photo credit goes to Jernigan Photography. We apologize for the omission of photo credits.

This month we bring you our summer hunter/jumper issue. But as always, we have a wide variety of news, from dressage to natural horsemanship, to the latest in products and services. We strive to cover as much news as possible to serve our diverse California horse industry.

Be sure to stop by our booth at Western States Horse Expo and let us know how we are doing! Give us your story ideas or submit a great story like we received from Duncan McIntosh about their wonderful Thoroughbred Treasure Chest here.

Thanks again for reading and thanks again to all of our advertisers who make every
issue possible.

Happy Riding!
