Ready For the World!
Three Cornerstone CDIs help dressage contenders ready for international success.

Cornerstone Event Management's spring CDI calendar has a tradition of spectacular dressage competition, and 2013 will be no exception. Riders' sights are already set on the 2014 World Equestrian Games (WEG) in France, making this year critical towards strengthening performances and debuting exciting new mounts. With spectacular facilities, world-renowned judging panels, and competitor-friendly amenities, riders know that Cornerstone dressage shows provide their best opportunity for show-ring success.

This year, three premier Cornerstone events return to the international dressage calendar as CDI competitions, showcasing some of the best High Performance competitors in the nation. WEG hopefuls expected to compete include Steffen Peters with up-and-coming superstar Legolas; Guenter Seidel with new mount Coral Reef Wylea; perennial crowd favorites, Jan Ebeling with long-time international partner, Rafalca; and young star Adrienne Lyle and Wizard, who are looking to return to the U.S.A. Dressage Team for another international championship.

The Mid-Winter Dressage Fair CDI3*/Y/J in late February kicked off the season at LAEC. Horses and riders will now head to the beautiful atmosphere and fantastic footing at Oaks Blenheim in San Juan Capistrano for the Festival of the Horse CDI 3*/Y/J, March 27-30. Finally, exhibitors and spectators alike will celebrate Memorial Day weekend May 23-26 at the pastoral and historic Flintridge Riding Club in La Cañada-Flintridge for CDI 1*/Y/J competition as well as the return of the Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Western Selection Trial for the FEI World Breeding Championships.

All three Cornerstone CDIs are also official qualifiers for a multitude of national awards and championship programs, including the USEF Festival of Champions; the Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC); the 2013 Markel/USEF Young Horse and Developing Horse National Dressage Championships presented by; the Markel/Cornerstone Young Talent Search Finals; USDF year-end awards and regional championships; and California Dressage Society (CDS) Horse of the Year awards and annual championship show.

In addition to another season of international-level dressage, Cornerstone Event Management is proud to announce their innovative "Rider Rewards" program. Through agreement with partners such as host hotel Marriott Courtyard Burbank Airport as well as US Horse Feed & Shavings, competitors participating in Cornerstone dressage events will have an opportunity to earn unique rewards for their patronage. "This year, we wanted to take a fresh approach to expand our services and show our sincere appreciation for the riders and owners who attend our shows," explains Glenda McElroy, event organizer. "We are happy to be able to give back to our competitors who give so much of their time, energy, devotion, and money to support this sport we love."
