Publisher's Notes

Steve and I took our vacation last month in St. Maarten. We stopped at the Butterfly Farm and I stopped to give this cute horse a scratch. He was just hanging out in the parking lot with his buddy munching on the lush green grass.

Happy New Year everyone! Hopefully all of you and your horses are all happy, healthy and doing well. I'm currently fighting secondary lymphedema. My right leg is swelling with too much lymph fluid that my body can't get rid of. I start physical therapy this month with my therapist Alice. She'll be doing manual lymph drainage on my leg and then she'll be wrapping my leg to keep the swelling down. Steve will also learn how to wrap my leg. So learning how to live with secondary lymphedema will be my new challenge for 2012.

Hopefully after Steve finds a job I'll be on the look out for a young horse to start. But I will be at the Sweetwater Farms shows, the Signature Shows and Del Sol Classic either announcing or working the office.

We are looking forward to another year of serving the California Horse Industry. Be sure to let us know how we are doing and come see us next month at Horse Expo Pomona Feb. 2-4, 2012, Thurs.-Sat. and not on Super Bowl Sunday! Thank you Miki Cohen!!!

Also, Horse Expo Pomona is the last chance to book your business in our annual California Horseman's Directory. The new Directory will be out at the end of March. The Directory is now available for viewing on your digital reader as well - so now you'll always have the information you need at your fingertips!

Thank you to all of our advertisers who kept us going to press each month in 2011. All the best to everyone in 2012!
