This month, my young horse will be trying to edge out his stable mate, Ondra, for the Greater San Diego Hunter Jumper Association's Year End High Point Baby Green Hunters. Eddie has been a fun project for me this year. He's a natural hunter and really is good at his job. Kacie Doyle from Jennifer Willson's show team, took over the show ride, after my friend Annie Worthman moved away to Tennessee. Kacie is a great young rider and does a excellent job on all the horses she rides. She's in the running for top Junior Amateur High Point Rider with Jennifer's daughter Alexus hot on her heels.

I've had a great time riding with Team Willson and will have fun cheering them on at the championship show this month. I have Eddie on the market as he'll be a super horse for a junior or amateur that wants a fun low key, and easy horse to ride. I plan on starting another one after Eddie finds his next show home. I love my new part time job of announcing or working in the horse show office for many of the GSDHJA horse shows. I also enjoy watching young horses learn their jobs and help them get a great start in life. So you may not see me in show clothes in the near future, but for sure, you'll see me and hopefully a new prospect I've started to bring along.

This month we feature eventing. We thank our cover sponsors New Heights Training Stables. They have an awesome eventing program and I'm sure you'll enjoy reading about their story. We also have a good story on the hay prices. Let us know how you plan to deal with the continuing price increases.

In our Oct issue Fall/Winter fashion article, we said Bogs rainboats were headquartered in the wrong state. The company is headquartered in Oregon. Our apologies for the misinformation.
November is the month we all take time to be thankful. All of us at California Riding Magazine are thankful for our readers and advertisers. We are happy to bring you the news that you need to know to stay on top of the California horse industry. Be sure to send us your story ideas and we will keep you informed.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Riding!
