San Diegans Shine
GSDHJA 2010 finale is a big hit.

The Greater San Diego Hunter Jumper Association recently upgraded their website and sponsors are welcome to have a link on the home page as part of the association's appreciation of their sponsors' support.

The Greater San Diego Hunter Jumper Association had a wonderful turnout this year at the prestigious Del Mar Fairgrounds seeing over 350 entrants at the year-end horse show. We were blessed with fantastic weather and a great staff that helped the show go more smoothly than ever. Competitors and spectators alike had a wonderful time enjoying everything from the Haven Farms welcome party, the EE Show Stables & Outdoor Outfitters pizza party, the Jean McGinnis Open Equitation Challenge, the Chestnut Hills Hunt Teams and the Costume Class.

Our team of nationally ranked judges saw 64 entries with 15 entries to come back for the second round in the Jean McGinnis Open Equitation Challenge. Congratulations to Dana Brawley on Bob Brawley's Cosmo for the win in the challenge. The GSDHJA medal finals saw 28 entries in the 3' equitation where Tiffany Sandor had the win on CzechPoint. The flat medal, mini medal, and green rider medal saw 29 entries in each and had victories from Chelsea Treser, Hannah Ankeny, and Jenna Mangold respectively. The GSDHJA Adult Amateur Medal Finals showed 19 entries and the blue ribbon went to Lisette Bennett on her mount Perrier.

A special thanks to our great group of sponsors and volunteers. Without all of their help we could not have had such a triumphant show. Thank you to everyone who participated in the show this year and we look forward to seeing you at the show next year.
