Joint Oats 4 Horses
Oatinol increases absorption and effectiveness in joint health product.

Many of the ingredients in Joint Oats 4 Horses are familiar: glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM are well known to owners who want their active horse to be comfortable in its joints. Oatinol™ is less well known, but that may change as Joint Oats 4 Horses continues to make inroads with the horse community.

A unique ingredient in Joint Oats 4 Horses, Oatinol is the product’s “biggest punch,” says Brice Hitchcock of Grizzly Pet Products, which recently entered the equine marketplace. “It works as an emulsifier that facilities absorption.” That means the active ingredients are suspended in liquid and can more easily cross through the mucus membrane and get to the point in the body where they have the highest likelihood of benefit for the joints and inflammation.

Because Oatinol boosts the absorption effectiveness of the active ingredients, dosage loads can be much lower. “Chondrotin and glucosamine are aggressive,” Hitchcock explains. “High dosages can, with prolonged use, chemically degrade the pre-biotic state and create dyspepsia or gut discomfort.”

The accelerated absorption also means quicker results. A 10-day supply free sample, available through www.jointoats4horses.com, has been the product’s best marketing tool so far. Hitchcock allows that horse owners are loyal to their joint supplements and that getting them to try something new can be tough. However, the result after a month of Joint Oats is a convincing argument to switch. “This product is changing the paradigm from high dosages with good enough results to low dose/high absorption with great results,” Hitchcock notes. “This product really does work, and is very gentle in the digestive tract.”

In addition to certified quality chondroitin sulphate, glucosamine sulphate and MSM, Joint Oats 4 Horses also includes curcumin and glutamine. Curcumin, a derivative of turmeric, is a potent anti-inflammatory that provides safe natural relief from inflammation. Glutamine supports the mucosal cells (hindgut membrane), and
protein synthesis.

Joint Oats 4 Horses has been used successfully in the United Kingdom for 15-plus years. Its mini-pellet form is easy to eat and horses love the taste. A similar product is available for dogs as Joint Oats 4 Dogs.

The product’s manufacturer, Grizzly Pet Products, is based in Woodinville, WA. The company has focused on the development and manufacturing of all-natural pet products including salmon oil and treats derived from Wild Alaskan Salmon since 2002. Joint Oats 4 Horses represents its entry into the horse care world, where they are targeting everything from performance horses to beloved family pets.
