The Arizona Festival of Horses is set for Dec. 12-14 at West World in Scottsdale, AZ. The Arizona Festival of Horses is a three-day horse fair and exposition for horse owners and horse enthusiasts, featuring world-class clinicians, breed and stallion demonstrations, lectures and demos on horse related topics, and a trade show of equine products. In addition, Equi-Dance features two dynamic evening shows of action-packed equine entertainment.
In a new highlight for this year’s Festival, Cynthia Royal will present Blanco, the beautiful Andalusian and one of the most well-known equine characters to ever grace the big screen. Blanco is best known for his role as Shadowfax, Gandalf’s legendary white Andalusian horse in the movies Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers and Return of the King. He has also been featured in the well-known Hercules TV series, numerous commercials and the soon-to-be-released Hercules movie.
Top-notch clinicians from all over the U.S. will gather to instruct at the Arizona Festival of Horses. The evening event, Equi-Dance, is fantastic equine entertainment for horse lovers of all ages.
Excitement, thrills, comedy, family fun and a few surprises will all be a part of this must-see entertainment for everyone who appreciates horses. Equine Extremists Tommy and Karen Turvey will headline the evening show, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats with trick riding and stunts. Al Ragusin will entertain with his dancing horse, and the thrills will mount when the Golden West Cowgirls perform. Back by popular demand are the beautiful Bison Ranch Percherons.

The equine trade show offers rows of commercial booths selling a wide selection of western art, jewelry, clothing, equipment, gifts and countless products and services for horse fans. “Our equine trade show is just in time for the holidays!” says Craig Streit, the Festival’s Trade Show Director. “What a great opportunity to do Christmas shopping for those horse lovers on your list—all in one place!”
