Showpark venue gets a
makeover just in time
for spring show series.

The Del Mar Horse Park Grand Prix arena has undergone a complete renovation that included removal and replacement of all the grass and sub-base materials on the original field. New fencing and stonework have also been added in an effort to further enhance the Grand Prix area. The improved field design and state-of-the-art grass footing will make showing top hunters and jumpers even better in 2008.

The Showpark Spring Horse Show Series opened in April and continues with the Showpark Ranch & Coast Tournament May 6-11. This tournament will again host the World Championship Hunter Rider classes and the $50,000 Grand Prix of California, presented by Mary’s Tack & Feed. Moms can score pre-Mother’s Day brownie points with their children by bringing them to the Tournament’s Kids Day on Saturday, featuring bounce houses, vendor booths and other fun stuff for the younger set. The Spring Series concludes with the Showpark June Jamboree May 29-June 1. The $5,000 Mary’s Tack & Feed Junior-Amateur/Owner Jumper Classic and the $2,000 1.35M Jumper Classic are among this competition’s highlights.

Admission and parking is free for all shows. VIP tables and sponsor opportunities are available through Melissa Braunstein at 949-234-1695. For more show information, visit
