Young equestrian athletes choose online private school for flexibility.

Across the country, athletes are searching for a balance between their athletics and their academics. Between training, competing and traveling, there is no longer room for the traditional school model. Alternative school options are now available, but parents find themselves wondering which is the right fit for their child. From private to public and online to classroom-based, there are a multitude of schools to choose from.

Equestrian athletes are starting to look at one school in particular, US Performance Academy. USPA is unlike any other school. An accredited, online, private school designed by athletes and educators, the approach specifically benefits driven students who are training, traveling, competing and pushing themselves to the next level. The school’s online curriculum allows for a flexible schedule and academic calendar. The robust support system keeps students involved, motivated, and on track to success. Their focus on the student-athlete’s future goals and aspirations opens up a doorway to future opportunities.

“I joined USPA half way through my freshman year of high school because of my commitment to my riding career,” says Paige McWhinney, USPA student and equestrian athlete. “Many riders can tell you that balancing school and riding is extremely difficult, especially if you want to go far in this sport. After joining USPA, having to balance school and riding was no longer a problem. I do my school work from 8 am-12 pm, then train the rest of my day. Because of this flexible schedule, I have been able to ride way more often and compete more often as well. I’ve now traveled across the United States and have been able to bring my education along with me. After gaining a more flexible schedule from USPA, I have been able to add another horse to my team and advance rather quickly. The USPA teachers and team are more involved and helpful than I would have ever expected. I highly recommend joining USPA if you are interested in taking your athletic career to the next level without jeopardizing the quality of your education.”
