The United States Pony Club Southern California Region is hosting a Horseless Rally on Sat., March 9 at the City of Norco Livestock Arena in Norco.  A Horseless Rally or “Everything But the Horse” Rally teaches future Pony Club competitors the ins and outs of Rallying. Rallying is the format for Pony Club Team Competitions.

Participants will learn how to do a course walk, how to memorize a course of jumps and a dressage test, how to jog out a pony, how to set up their grooming and tacking area, how to care for their pony during a rally, and how to pack their rally kits. They will also go through modules on helmet fitting, quiz competition, stall cards, tack cleaning, and more.

C1 River Hills Pony Club Member Peyton Hayatian leads younger members through their educational modules.

So Cal Region Horse Management Organizer Dana Stark guides members through setting up their tacking and storage areas.

So Cal Region members work on reviewing the parts of the horse for quiz competition.

This event is hosted by the River Hills Pony Club in Norco and will include presentations from upper level Pony Club members and leaders from clubs/centers from all around Southern California.
