Competition at the family owned and operated ranch located in the heart of Paso Robles wine country will begin Thursday, April 11. Over 500 entries are expected, including a record number of FEI-level competitors. Jeff and Connie Baxter, owners of Twin Rivers Ranch, have hosted eventing competitions since 2004. The 500-acre property, nestled in the confluence of the Salinas and Estrella rivers and surrounded by vineyards, was purchased in 2001.

"My parents are really involved with everything here," said daughter Andrea Baxter. "My mom was an advanced level eventer, and she wanted a place to have a horse show. My dad has his own construction company, Whirlwind Excavating, and he was looking for a bigger piece of property. They started with an old dairy farm, and turned it into a destination event. Now you see them out landscaping, weed whacking, welcoming everyone to the ranch, and always busy." Andrea, an international competitor, breeder and trainer, runs her own Estrella Equestrian out of Twin Rivers Ranch. "We have a good team," Andrea explained. "So many good people that come and make this happen."
