October 2016 - Winter Is Coming

West Palms Events adds four new shows, in Santa Barbara & Paso Robles.

Inspired to put on a winter circuit for the West Coast, West Palms Events has created a four-week winter circuit beginning in 2017. Part 1 is the Santa Barbara Surfside and Sunshine Classic, Feb.-Mar. 5, 2017 at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club. That’s followed by the Central California Welcome and Spring Classic, Mar. 8-19, 2017 at the Paso Robles Horse Park.

“We are so incredibly excited to be putting on a four week circuit for the competitors, spectators and sponsors to enjoy,” said Dale Harvey of West Palms Events. “Our new partnership with the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet club is a wonderful opportunity and we are looking forward to putting on the very first hunter/jumper events at the location!”

“We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with West Palms Event Management. This annual event will be bringing the top equestrian professionals from across the country and provide a breathtaking event for all to enjoy,” said David Sigman, General Manager of the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club.

The city of Santa Barbara sits on a stretch of coastline that is bordered by the Santa Ynez Mountains on the Eastern side. It’s temperate climate, incredible shopping, and stunning views make it a tourist destination year round.

The second two weeks, exhibitors travel just up the Highway inland to wine country, Paso Robles. The popular four week Central California Horse Show Series is now expanding to six weeks, allowing more participation at the Horse Park Join us for the Central California Welcome and Zinfandel Classics, March 8-19, 2017.

The city of Paso Robles is a picturesque location, with miles of rolling hills, located just between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The town, which is approximately 30,000 people, sits on the Salinas River and is well known for its abundance of wineries and delectable restaurants.

“We have been thrilled with the warm welcome the equestrian community has given to the Paso Robles Horse Park since opening a year ago. With the hunter/jumper shows being a huge success in 2015, we are looking forward to adding two more weeks of shows in 2017,” said Linda Starkman, owner, Paso Robles Horse Park.
