Equine bodywork scholarship honors important contributor to the field.

by Debranne Pattillo, MEEBW

Deborah Adam’s light left us this past July and she is sorely missed by all the lives she touched. We are blessed to have known her in this lifetime. Deborah was instrumental in guiding existing equine care practitioners and the future of those involved in animal health care. She was the chairperson for the International Equine Body Worker Association for many years. She volunteered her services to various equine therapeutic riding organizations.

On numerous occasions she tactfully and joyfully assisted all of us in need. She will forever be in our hearts. Her spirit will guide all of us in times of need following our paths, ours hopes, our destinies. We all thank Deborah for the goodness she brought to those around her. We thank Deborah for her talent and unmeasurable insight. We miss her bubbling enthusiasm as she shared something close to her heart. It was a very sad day to lose someone as pure as Deborah.

In honor of Deborah’s memory, Equinology, UK sister company Equinenergy and Canada sister company Canadian Institute of Equine & Canine Body Works are offering a $2,000 scholarship in her name. Applications for this scholarship to attend onsite USA, UK, AUS and CAN regular courses (no special events or online courses; new registrations only) can be sent to Equinology, Deborah Adams Memorial Scholarship, POB 1192, Gualala, CA 95445, USA.
