The melting pot of new and old families merged together on Sunday, June 3 to help celebrate a wonderful occasion.
In an era of fast food and disposable items it is remarkable that a place such as Foxfield has endured the test of time. We all commented on how fortunate our lives have been growing up with horses and friendships that span 40 years.

Nancy Turrill and JoAnn Postel had a dream to build a riding school that would foster their views on horsemanship and offer the opportunity for all to participate. Who could have imagined that many years later we would be sharing that dream with third and fourth generation family members?
Foxfield continues as a sanctuary filled with love and commitment, still owned and operated by the founding family.
The Reunion day was filled with hugs and memories, a step back in time for those of us who first started riding at Foxfield in 1967. There were tables lined with photo albums dating back to the beginning, most put together with great care by Nancy Turrill. It was an outpouring of genuine appreciation for the hard work and dedication Nancy, JoAnn and her husband Bill Postel have given to the equestrian community.
When all was said and done as the sun began to set, we longed for just one more story before heading home. It was another testament to how important the Foxfield family is in all of our lives.
Cindy Postel and her husband Peter Postel are the parents of top junior rider Karli Postel.
