Eventing Action • July 10-11 in Paso Robles

The beautiful Twin Rivers Ranch continues its full slate of eventing competitions in Paso Robles. Saturday July 10 is devoted to the USEA’s Young Event Horse and Future Event Horse competitions, along with the Event Horse Prospect Class. The prospect class is for horses that will excel in eventing but have aged out of the Young Event Horse program. Similar to the YEH division, it is judged on conformation, dressage and jumping.

A Combined Test Derby takes place on Sunday. The derby courses will incorporate the water jump and other natural fences as well as show jumps in the arena and out in the field. Known as a very fun opportunity, this event is flexible. Participants can do just dressage, just jumping, both or any combination. Horses may cross enter both YEH and CT Derby. The weekend also features the Horses for Sale Class, in which announcements are made when the horse jumps and a photo ad is placed in the show program, providing entries are made by the July 2 closing date.
