Two Mares Were Left Behind After Sale of El Capitan Ranch

After the recent sale of the El Capitan Ranch in Santa Barbara, CA, it seems someone left a couple of items behind. Two senior thoroughbred mares were abandoned on the property and they need a home urgently. We don't know the history of these mares. Maybe they were used for jumping or perhaps they were someone's trusted polo pony. . . What we do know is that they were left behind like garbage.

They are being looked after temporarily by a concerned citizen. They are not rideable, but are easy to handle and would make beautiful pasture pets. If you have space for a couple of older mares, please contact Return to Freedom right away at info@returntofreedom.org or (805) 737-9246.

Thank you for caring,
Jill Anderson - Return to Freedom

Wanted: Readers!

We frequently receive review copies of books before they're available to the general public. They range from beautifully illustrated, coffee table caliber books to training how-tos in every imaginable equestrian subject.

You can be one of the first to read these books. All we ask is a short review for our readers. If we OK your review, it will appear online at www.ridingmagazine.com and possibly in print in California Riding Magazine. Best of all, you keep the book!
