Riding's July Issue, Featuring Pegasus Show Stable on the Cover, ships tomorrow!

We bring you our trainer's issue this month and want to thank our cover sponsors Michael and Christa Endicott and all of our advertisers who joined us for this issue. Plus, we wish Michael a speedy recovery from a fall that occurred just as we put this issue to bed. On June 16th iJump Sports reported: "Following an 'interesting' fall in the ring yesterday afternoon, Michael Endicott is now recovering from surgery. Both legs were broken, including one compound fracture, he will be in the Mission Hospital for several days then a lengthy recovery. He is his normal humorous - joking self this morning when we stopped in and sends his thanks to everyone who has called, texted or sent an email."

We lost one of San Diego County's leading hunter/jumper trainers, Chuck Esau. I always enjoyed watching Chuck teach and had an excellent clinic with him on my wonderful mare, Riding Magazine's Hot Off the Press. My favorite times with Chuck

were working as a show announcer. He really helped me learn what he was looking for as a judge. I personally will miss him very much. He passed away July 15, just as we went to press. Be sure to read his obituary on page 40 and watch for a longer article on him in the August issue.

I just got back from the American Horse Publications Conference in Colorado Springs. I love getting together every year with our fellow equine media members and learning how to make our publications, websites, and other media more valuable to all of you who read or view our news and articles.

Thank you everyone for reading our magazine either online or in print. We are here to keep you informed of our California horse industry. Be sure to check out our editorial calendar online or send us your story ideas! Check out my AHP photos on our Facebook page.

Happy Riding!
