$1,500 Travel Grant available to attend January's College Preparatory Invitational in Florida

Now in its third year, the College Preparatory Invitational is set for Jan. 18-20 at the Palm Beach Equestrian Center in Wellington, FL. The CPI is a great opportunity for high school equestrians to learn about the myriad (and sometimes confusing) opportunities to continue riding in college. Equitation Riders Work for the Win in LAHJA Medal Finals

For Molly Peddicord (Kost Karazissis, trainer), winning the LAHJA Junior Medal Finals was a team effort. "As of last Sunday, I did not have a horse to ride in the finals because my horse was off," Molly explained. "Jenny Karazissis and her entire family worked so hard and put in a lot of time to help me find a horse, but I just wasn't clicking with any of the horses we tried. Alliston Defends His Title At Galway Downs International Three-Day Event

James Alliston should now be called "Mr. Galway Downs."

The Galway Downs International Three-Day Event has offered a CCI3* for the last three years, and Alliston, of Castro Valley, Calif., has placed in the top three at all three events. Top Reiners Line Up at AQHA World Championship Show

The final American CRI of the year takes place this weekend at the AQHA World Championship Show as reiners from across the country look to close out their 2012 season on a high note. A total of 13 horse-and-rider combinations are set to contest the CRI3* in Oklahoma City, OK on Friday, November 9. This weekend's competition has added significance as it also serves as the first qualifier for U.S. reiners looking to compete at the selection trials for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Boost your confidence on the ground and in the saddle with easy to follow Ground Control methods. Give your horse a relaxed softness in a halter, teach basic ground reining, lateral flexion, side passing and introduce cues.
