USEF Names 2012 U.S. Olympic Eventing Team

Pending the approval of the USEF Executive Committee and the United States Olympic Committee's Board of Directors, the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) named the 2012 U.S. Olympic Eventing Team.

The 2012 US Olympic Eventing Team in Alphabetical Order:

  • Will Coleman (Gordonsville, VA) and Jim Wildasin's Twizzel
  • Tiana Coudray (Ojai, CA) and the Jatial, Inc.'s Ringwood Magister
  • Phillip Dutton (West Grove, PA) and Jim and Arden Wildasin's Mystery Whisper
  • Boyd Martin (Cochranville, PA) and the Otis Barbotiere Syndicate's Otis Barbotiere
  • Karen O'Connor (Ocala, FL) and the Mr. Medicott Syndicate's Mr. Medicott

A Call to Action: Colorado Wildfires - Donate Now to the USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund

Fires blazing across the Colorado landscape have together burned more than 100,000 acres in the past few weeks. The Waldo Canyon and High Park fires near Colorado Springs and Fort Collins respectively have ravaged the natural beauty of the area, destroyed nearby homes, and left many displaced people wondering what to do next. For horse owners that uncertainty is even greater. Hundreds of horses have already been displaced and, while local Horse Parks, Fairgrounds, and Equestrian Centers have graciously opened up to evacuated horses, the cost of caring for those horses magnifies the stresses of an already trying time. Two American Women Paving Road to the Horse History

Two American women, Sara Winters and Obbie Schlom, are the final two competitors for the 2013 Road to the Horse. The California natives will put their hat in the ring against reigning 2012 champions from Australia, Dan James and Guy McLean. The four will square off as individuals next March to compete for the 2013 Road to the Horse Champion title. Keep reading ...

The Del Mar Fall Festival Horse Show • October 17-28

The 2012 Del Mar Fall Festival Horse Show featuring the $55,000 Villas at Rancho Valencia World Cup Grand Prix of Del Mar will take place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds Arena October 17 to 28.

This two week equestrian event will feature top notch riders competing for the $25,000 PCHA/Equine Insurance Children's/Adult Hunter Championships, October 17-21 and the $25,000 PCHA/Equine Insurance Children's/Adult Amateur Jumper Finals, October 24-28 which will include the $25,000 Grand Prix Hunter Derby, October 26.

The $55,000 Villas at Rancho Valencia World Cup Grand Prix of Del Mar takes place on October 27. Prior to the main event that day, are planned workshops and clinics featuring a pony club and youth workshop taught by Olympian Rich Fellers; riding clinics led by Olympic Gold Medalist, Will Simpson (Compton Junior Possee Clinic) and a jumper clinic be led by Bernie Traurig , Christine Traurig and Mandy Porter. Top quality amateurs horse and fancy enough for a professional. Hacks out and a dream to haul. No vices. High scores in the upper 60's and low 70's with an amateur aboard.

He has won high point for the Lusitano breed & also Gold Coast Dressage Association silver medal champion in 2011. He is an all around fun horse and jumps too. Located in Palm City, FL.
