HITS joins forces with West Coast show organizers to create Thermal Million Grand Prix League for 2012/2013 show season

Building off the momentum of a very successful winter show season, HITS is pleased to announce the creation of an all-new high-performance show jumping league comprised of 15 West Coast competitions. The league will include the entire 2013 HITS Desert Circuit and will culminate with a $1 Million Grand Prix. Starting in August, HITS will collaborate with West Coast show organizers Dale Harvey, Larry Langer and Robert Ridland to form the Thermal Million Grand Prix League. This newly formed league will offer an unprecedented opportunity to qualify for the all-new Thermal $1 Million Grand Prix, which will be held the final week of the 2013 HITS Desert Circuit in Thermal, California. Observation Events to Begin at Del Mar National Horse Show

The first of four Observation Events for the U.S. Olympic Show Jumping Team gets underway this weekend at the Del Mar National Horse Show, held May 1-6, 2012. Horses and riders on the USEF Long List for the U.S. Show Jumping Team for the 2012 Olympic Games will jump Friday in the $50,000 Surfside Grand Prix presented by ShowBiz Magazine and Saturday in the $100,000 Hermes Grand Prix of Del Mar presented by Intuit. AHC Issues Forum to Focus on Reinvigorating the Horse Industry

The American Horse Council has announced that the theme for this year's National Issues Forum is "Reinvigorating the Horse Industry." This year's National Issues Forum will be held on Tuesday, June 26, in Washington, DC during the AHC's annual meeting. The annual meeting will run from June 24 to 27 at the Washington Court Hotel and will include the AHC's Congressional Reception, the annual Congressional Ride-In, and sessions on federal advocacy. This year's meeting will also include the AHC's Breed Roundtable, a popular event that brings together leaders of horse associations to discuss common issues of importance to the industry.
