Chris Pratt and Cruise Dominate the End of the 2012 Desert Circuit

Canadian Chris Pratt and Indigo Farms, LLC's Cruise were flying high Sunday afternoon as they topped a competitive field of 43 to win the ever-popular $200,000 Lamborghini Grand Prix, presented by Lamborghini of Newport Beach. The class was an exclamation point to the six-week winter circuit at HITS Thermal and Pratt was two-for-two after prefacing Sunday's victory with a win in Friday's $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health. APHA's New Regional Club Sponsorship Program Rewards Club Efforts to Increase Participation With Up to $30,000 Annually

The American Paint Horse Association has created a new way to reward their network of Regional Clubs for their efforts to encourage participation, recruit new members, offer creative show formats and enhance the exhibitor's experiences at their Regional Club-sponsored APHA shows. Rood & Riddle Foundation to Auction Zenyatta Halter for Kentucky Tornado Disaster Relief

The Rood & Riddle Foundation, the non-profit arm of Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, is preparing to auction a halter worn by Zenyatta during her broodmare career at Lane's End Farm. Zenyatta recently gave birth to her first foal at Lane's End. The proceeds from this auction benefit the Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross. Keep reading ...



Used Tack Sale to Benefit Therapeutic Riding Program • March 17th, 9am-1:30pm

Helen Woodward Animal Center will be holding a used tack sale on Sat., March 17th from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. The proceeds will be used to support their Therapeutic Riding program, making a difference in the lives of children and adults with special needs. The sale will include items such as blankets, wraps, saddle pads, and never worn children's ratcatchers and hunt coats. Also for sale will be a number of saddles, including a beautiful 17" Passier Hannover dressage saddle.

The tack sale will be held in the Education Yard at the Center, next to therapeutic riding barn, at 6525 Helen Woodward Way in Rancho Sante Fe. Visitors can follow the signs. A delectible array of St. Patty's Day themed baked goods will be sold as well, made especially for the event by their dedicated volunteers. Any questions?
