AAEP Foundation Funds Efforts to Aid Horses Affected by Severe Weather

Relief organizations responding to equine emergencies in the aftermath of a series of destructive storms this spring are eligible for funding from the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) Foundation. In addition, the Foundation welcomes donations for its Equine Disaster Relief Fund to help accommodate the potential needs of equine and veterinary communities impacted by recent storms and natural disasters. Congratulations to Viva Hallinan and Pomme D'Api!

Home town favorite, 17 year old Viva Hallinan rode her mare, 10 year old Belgian Warmblood Pomme D'Api, to the second place spot at the Sonoma Horse Park County Saddlery Grand Prix. This is only the second grand prix ride for Viva. Viva, a student at Sonoma Valley High, trains with Mattias Ekeroth. It was obvious that Viva is a crowd favorite; her fans went wild as she rode the course. What an incredible moment for Viva!

Congratulations! All Viva's fans are hoping her first Grand Prix win will take place at the Sonoma Horse Park.
