Founders's Notes

Red Bucket Equine Rescue proudly presents Robin, a 15.3 Hand Thoroughbred gelding. Robin has been trained in both English and Western, he enjoys trail, and has a strong work ethic.

This wonderful horse has a huge heart, tons of personality, and is best suited for a confident intermediate rider who wants to devote time and
an abundance of affection. This is a truly super horse, super cute, super willing, and supremely special.

Robin's adoption fee is $1500, and only the serious...and truly wonderful need apply.

The first half of the year is gone and here we are into summer! We had a good time at the Western States Horse Expo. Now that we are a part of the MPM Publications group we had a nice row of booths in building D. We passed out buckets with lots of goodies from our wonderful advertisers. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and picked up our latest issues. The weather was just perfect – not too hot.

This issue is packed with some great articles about trainers, riders, nutrition, fitness and some very exciting news for the sport of show jumping. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I did reading it cover to cover. I also have more time to write, shoot photos and video. You will see my article about Tractor Supply Company expanding into California on page 14.

Last month my friend and dressage trainer Elizabeth Johnson donated a full day of dressage lessons at a benefit clinic held at PepperTree Farm in Poway. The benefit raised over $1,000 for my first lymphedema surgery this month - July 23rd. Thank you so much for all that have donated to my fund and I hope with your help to fix my broken lymphatic system. If you want to help or learn more visit my blog: www.LymphedemaSucks.com.

July 12 is International Helmet Awareness Day. Please wear your helmet and replace it if you have hit your head or if it's over 5 years old.
Next month we are featuring dressage. Please send us your story ideas for upcoming issues. Visit our website and our Facebook page for breaking news throughout the month.

Happy Riding!
