Starr Vaughn Expansion
Sacramento area equestrian center expands its scope.

Michele Vaughn, owner, manager and trainer at Starr Vaughn Equestrian in Elk Grove, is pleased to announce an expanded lineup of services in 2013: Well-bred young horses and proven dressage show stars for sale; breeding to Hanoverian stallion Donnerweiss; boarding, layups, rehab and travel layovers; training for horse and rider; and events to please equestrians and non-riders alike. Also new for 2013 is the relocation of Harnden Performance Horses to the Starr Vaughn property where they will offer clients their own separate barn and
arena facilities.

Long known as a top Hanoverian breeding facility, Starr Vaughn's breeding program has produced winning sporthorses for a decade, and now offers for sale select youngsters and dressage horses with proven show records. In addition, Genay Vaughn's successful competition horse in her rise through the Young Rider competitions, Hanoverian stallion Donarweiss GGF (De Niro – Hohenstein – Archipel), is available for breeding via frozen semen through the Hilltop Farm guest stallion program.

Donarweiss began his show career as 2004 USDF Horse of the Year for Three Year Old Colts and Geldings and Champion of his 30-day Stallion Performance Test, and now his offspring are showing classic conformation, spectacular movement and great temperaments.

USDF gold medalist Michele Vaughn now offers training for horse and rider, from individual and group lessons to full training and show coaching. Michele may be best known as home trainer and competition strategist for her successful daughter, top-ranked dressage competitor Genay Vaughn, who in 2012 competed in three national dressage championships and brought home first, second or third place standings from each venue. Michele combines a supportive teaching style and in-depth competition knowledge, with her ability to help riders understand and correctly perform movements they have only dreamed of riding. She believes that "you don't have to be stuck at First Level forever" and is available for clinics throughout the US.

This year also welcomes Harnden Performance Horses to the Starr Vaughn property. With a dedicated barn and arena for Mark Harnden's western performance horses separate from Starr Vaughn's dressage operation, there's even more opportunity for equestrians to enjoy this special facility.

Starr Vaughn Equestrian is known for its elegant and beautifully maintained equestrian show facilities, and now is making its gorgeous grounds available for weddings, charity benefits, and other non-equestrian events. Starr Vaughn will continue to host recognized dressage and hunter/jumper shows, USDF clinics, and other equestrian events at its world-class facility.

Why the expansion? "Over the years we have developed Starr Vaughn from an empty field to our field of dreams," says Michele. "Now it can be the place where other people's dreams come true, as well. What could be better!"
