Home Needed: Sparky

Sparky is a gorgeous liver chestnut Arabian gelding available for adoption from FalconRidge Equine Rescue in Valley Center. Sparky rides well and is sound. He is 24 yrs old and would be great for kids or grandkids to learn on. A perfect family horse. Sparky is on senior feed mainly as it is hard for him to chew hay, but he is darling, gentle, and very healthy. Adoption fee $200. November is going to be a super busy month for us. We have Valitar and Cavalia opening this month here in San Diego County. I'll also be busy helping Ronnette Leja at the Greater San Diego Hunter/Jumper Championship show. Plus I'm running up to Galway to make sure everyone gets a copy of this month's issue featuring eventing, trainers, and gift buying. I started California Riding Magazine in 1986 when I was introduced to eventing by Carol Peters. I needed to know when the next horse trials was happening and the rest is history. I competed at Ram Tap and hope that the group that is trying to save it is successful. Read about Ram Tap's situation here.

Thank you to all that read our magazine every month and support us with advertising. Keeping the horse industry healthy and strong is good for all of us. Be sure to consider giving a gift of riding lessons, a trail ride, or tickets to Cavalia or Valitar to help share our love of horses. Plus be sure to contribute to your favorite rescue or therapeutic this season of giving and sharing.

But most important I hope all of you take time to vote in the elections and do your civic duty.

Happy Riding!
