World Equestrian Games
Equestrian championships
poised for a huge audience.

In a little less than 100 days, the world’s finest equine athletes will gallop into Kentucky’s Bluegrass region for the most prestigious, global equestrian championships: the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

Heralded as the largest sporting event to come to the United States since the 2002 Winter Olympics, the Alltech FEI Games will take place in Lexington, KY, from Sept. 25 through Oct. 10. The World Equestrian Games are contested every four years like the Olympics and are the world championships for the eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI).

Held outside of Europe for the first time, the 16-day competition involving more than 800 riding competitors and 800 horses representing 60 countries is expected to be attended by as many as 600,000 spectators and viewed on television by an international audience exceeding 460 million people. In the United States, it will be broadcast on NBC over three weekends in the largest network commitment to the broadcast of equestrian sport in U.S. television history.

Tickets have already been sold to enthusiasts in all 50 U.S. states and 50 countries, and it’s not too late to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime event.
