Kristy Miller:
Black Star Equestrian
Hunter/jumper program settles in at
W Farms.

Hunter/jumper trainer Kristy A. Miller has relocated Black Star Equestrian, a full-service training barn, to W Farms in Chino Hills.

“Black Star’s recent relocation from Silverado Canyon was necessary for the success of our clients and their show needs,” Miller explains.
Miller was trained under Mark Mullen and Victor Hugo-Vidal in the 80s at Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center in Orange County. With a successful junior career under their direction, Miller piloted many mounts to victories in the Maclay, Onondarka and multiple Orange County Horse Show Assn. medals. Prior to turning professional, Miller rode in the Adult Amateur divisions of the Orange County, San Diego and Arizona circuits in the 90s.

W Farms offers show quality amenities for horses and their owners. “With custom based footing in both the jumping and dressage arenas, along with top quality show barns, the concerns of our athletes are left behind while we focus on our riding needs,” says Miller.

With a competitive show schedule in Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire, as well as training and lessons for the non-competitive rider, Black Star Equestrian offers services for all levels.
Lesson horses and ponies are available, as well as leasing arrangements. Sales of elite equines of all levels and price ranges are suited to a wide variety of budgets. Black Star Equestrian also offers physical education programs for home-schooled children.

Miller was recently elected vice president of the newly formed Chino Hills Horseman’s Association, a club to promote and preserve the equestrian lifestyle through education in Chino Hills. Miller has an 18-year-old son who graduated from Marina High School in Huntington Beach this year and will be attending Mt. San Antonio College in the fall.
