Legacy Farm: Denise Cintas
Established facility shows off
upgrades and additions.

The boarding, training and show facility Legacy Farms in San Marcos is a familiar fixture on the San Diego horse scene, but it will turn heads this year thanks to a wide range of upgrades and improvements.

With trainer and stable manager Denise Cintas at the helm as owner, the facility first installed top quality footing into its five arenas that will reduce wear and tear on horses’ joints and enable uninterrupted riding and training through most rainy days. A covered arena is in the works, and additional parking has been added for horse show days, along with an attendant to smooth that process.

“Our goal is to make Legacy Farm the finest equestrian facility in North County, a first-class hunter/jumper and dressage facility,” says Denise, a veteran horsewoman. “We hope to incorporate the natural beauty and warm family atmosphere here at Legacy with state-of-the-art upgrades that will accommodate our horses and customers with the best care and customer service. My philosophy has always been that the horse comes first.”

It’s not only boarders who will benefit from these improvements. Legacy will host a series of hunter/jumper schooling shows. The seven-show dressage series begins March 7-8 and wraps up Nov. 14-15. They are rated by USEF and CDS and other associations. The first hunter/jumper show is planned for March.
