The founders of The Source Biological Fly Control discovered the many benefits of using fly parasites when they raised Arabian horses in the late 1970s. Deciding they wanted to share these benefits as widely as possible, they established The Source Biological Fly Control in 1983. They lay their eggs inside an immature stage of the fly in the fly’s breeding site. The developing fly then becomes food for the young fly parasites, which prevents the fly from emerging as an adult. Because fly parasites are attracted to only an immature stage of flies, they will not bother you or your animals. Their need for flies, in order to reproduce, provides a strong and natural incentive to do all the work: search and destroy. Our proprietary mix of fly parasite species consists of multiple types, which, through over 20 years of research and testing, have been determined be very effective in controlling fly populations around livestock.
