The founders of The Source Biological Fly Control discovered the many benefits of using fly parasites when they raised Arabian horses in the late 1970s. Deciding they wanted to share these benefits as widely as possible, they established The Source Biological Fly Control in 1983. They continue to own and operate The Source, providing the finest product available at a reasonable price.
With The Source, fly parasites are not just one product among many others; they are what we do. Since inception, our staff has offered friendly expert advice to help our customers gain and maintain control of flies around livestock through the use of fly parasites.
Fly parasites are harmless, very small, mostly nocturnal and very unobtrusive insects that nature has programmed to attack and kill flies before the flies are able to hatch. They lay their eggs inside an immature stage of the fly in the fly’s breeding site. The developing fly then becomes food for the young fly parasites, which prevents the fly from emerging as an adult. Because fly parasites are attracted to only an immature stage of flies, they will not bother you or your animals. Their need for flies, in order to reproduce, provides a strong and natural incentive to do all the work: search and destroy.
Our proprietary mix of fly parasite species consists of multiple types, which, through over 20 years of research and testing, have been determined be very effective in controlling fly populations around livestock.
By using our fly parasites, you can be proactive in your fly control program and prevention rather than reacting to one. Fly Parasites are effective, safe and USDA approved. We pride ourselves on our quality product, knowledgeable staff and excellent customer service. If you want the best value for your dollar, call us. You and your animals will be glad you did!
