Weekend With Bernie: Hunter/jumper trainer Nicolas Rossi and his clients at Rossi Equestrian in Bakersfield were thrilled to have Equestrian Coach’s Bernie Traurig deliver a weekend clinic May 14-15.

“He is truly an amazing horseman and has a wonderful sense of humor,” reports Ximena Rossi. “We hope to make this a yearly event.”

Victory Ranch founder Doug Hutten, center, celebrates 11 years of successful Kids & Horse Education Program with participants at the Almaden Equestrian Center in San Jose. Pairing up foster and adopted kids with horses and ponies has already worked wonders and Doug hopes that a new capital campaign will enable the program to expand its reach and good work going forward.

The Pink Wall: A Spring Fling Schooling Show contestant was one of many at the Paso Robles Horse Park to clear this special jump to help raise funds for cancer prevention and cure.

The fundraiser was sponsored by the Horse Park and wound up raising $2,100 for the cause. Every jumper class on Sunday featured the pink wall and competitors really got into the spirit of the event, reports the Park’s Amanda Diefenderfer. Photo: Hoof Print
