The fourth annual Andalusian World Cup (AWC) is less than three months away, and plans for the country's largest, most prestigious Iberian horse show are progressing quickly, according the show's organizer, Andalusian World.

Scheduled for September 20-23, 2017 at the world class South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, the Andalusian World Cup draws a sizeable audience from across the U.S., and also includes participants from Mexico, Canada, Spain and Portugal. The show is open to all horses with papers from any recognized Iberian Horse registry, including Andalusian, P.R.E., Lusitano, Azteca and many other crosses

"We've just wrapped up the first Andalusian World East show and now are moving full speed ahead with preparations for AWC Las Vegas," says Kevin Kidder, Andalusian World co-founder. "This is the Andalusian World Cup's (AWC) fourth year in Las Vegas, and the show continues to grown each year. We couldn't be more pleased with the plans and participation so far for this year's show," adds Kidder. "There's a constant stream of news that we need to get out to people interested in attending, whether as competitors, vendors or spectators."

Entries for the show are open, and new this year all competitors can use one combined entry form (http://horseshowtime.com/getshowinfo.php?p=7557).

There are limited entries for both the Dressage and Working Equitation competitions, which are open to all breeds.

Competition begins Wednesday, September 20 with Dressage.  AWC, ANCCE and Working Equitation competitions run Thursday through Saturday, September 21-24.

The Dressage competition will include Q Rated USEF/USDF Training Level through Grand Prix, DSHB,  and musical freestyle classes.

Prize money will be awarded for both Supreme Championship classes and Working Equitation divisions.

New this year, AWC will be introducing a sale horse program. Participating sale horses will be listed in a professional sale catalog published prior to the show, and will be showcased during the show.  Sale horse stalls will be specially marked, and barn tours will be scheduled for prospective buyers. This will provide a valuable opportunity for owners and breeders to present their sales horses to hundreds of potential buyers in one location.

Qualifying rules for the Supreme Championship classes remain the same as in 2016. Competitors can qualify by winning a championship at any regular season or national show within the past five years in the same division/class they plan to enter at AWC.

An APSL Revision will be held Friday afternoon.

Saturday night will feature exciting exhibitions and equine entertainment. Details will be announced soon.

"It's time to start planning for the show,  if you haven't already," says Kidder. "The AWC discounted rate hotel rooms sell out very early. And, there are a limited number of entries for the Dressage and Working Equitation competitions. Last year, both competitions filled very quickly. We ended up adding a second dressage ring and judge to accommodate all the wait list entries."
